Religion
The main religion of the ancient Persian empire was called Zoroastrianism.
It was created by Zoroaster, a Persian prophet. They mainly believed that choices one makes affect ones fate and determined where they will spend life after death. They were monotheistic and their main god was Ahura Mazda. In this religion the goal in afterlife is to get to Ahura Mazda ("The Wise Lord"). They believe in the principles making good desicions or Asha and that life is what make of it on earth and not just the reward of afterlife.
The Avesta was their sacred book that was divided into different sections.

Persia is in Southwest Asia and had natural barriers like the Zagros Mountains and Caucasus Mountains. They were settled where modern day
Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan,Pakistan, Syria, Turkey, Israel, and bits of Egypt and India.
